Of course, the one game the Cubs lose this series was the game I went to. I blame Jon.

 

Is this the new blame CT? I like it.

Oh man so we had a open house from 2-4 today, so I was out driving around listen to Ron and Pat we give up 3 runs and all ron can say is that is just a shame just a shame. Then the next inning occurs and they go nuts, the first time i've listened to them in quite some time, but man is Reed Johnson a fireball he has won us quite a few games this year.

 

CUBS WIN!

 

CUBS UP 5 on the Brewers 4.5 on the Cards.

 

PHILLIES BEAT THE CARDS TONIGHT!

I just got home. What's the deal with Z? Somebody please tell me they shortened him up on purpose and he's not hurt.

 

Lou did it to give Z a rest after two long outings, no need to worry.

haha the pirates announcers were talking about how burnett could get reed out and then be in position for his first win since 2004.

 

"and here he is trying to get johnson to wrap this up and set up the scenario that... oh no. no! NO!!!"

guy 2: "Very annoying. Unless we can a couple bloops and a blast."

guy 1: "We'll try to get out of here as quickly as we can, so you don't have to listen to it, folks."

In all fairness, we are playing the Pirates who just traded away all their good players. We should win these games.

 

Doesn't matter who they are playing. Any team can win in the bigs. I'm just saying that average teams let an inning like that snowball into a loss.

Moreover, from the look of it, the Pirates got three very good players in the Bay trade. Moss, LaRoche, and Hansen all contributed quite meaningfully to the Pirates in this series.

when they archive it, i suggest watching the reed johnson home run through the end of the game. priceless in its bitterness and despair.

Well that's the speculation but do you know for sure? I won't relax until Lou says that's the case.
