Good game. I knew asking for a sweep from the Dbacks was too much. :(

Following your team this year must be slightly more painful than the Cubs, considering you guys rocketed to a fast start and then have completely hit the wall

YOU HEAR THAT CUBS FANS

THE DIAMONDBACKS ARE BELOW .500 AND WE ARE COMPLAINING

Probably much rougher. We had a 20-8 start..and now 30-43 since. It sucks.

Chris24Young:

Do you know what the word on Esmerling vasquez is?

I really haven't followed him lately. Aside from a little in the beginning of the season when he came back from his injury and was getting shelled.

Still pitching like a bum. Hasn't had a good start in over a month. They're saying he is having big time command issues, and if you look at his recent starts you can see he's been pretty horrific trying to find the plate.

I haven't posted on this board in a long while. I don't post under any assumed names either.

Don't worry, Len. They were joking.

Can anybody else not stand Cory Provus as the play-by-play man on radio? After the kind, warm voice of Pat, I hate listening to Cory's harsh voice.

I just hope this is one that finally gets the offense off the slide, and kicks the team into gear for the second half. 8 important games coming up in the next week+.

We appreciate you coming Len. Sorry we have no answers for you. I take it to meant hat you were right and someone was just being "Careless" (Pun intended, lame I know)

I sometimes check on the board during a break if I have a second. You guys are good at catching pretty much everything (i.e., "Len totally screwed up that stat" or whatever...I always like to get it right, even if I have to go back to correct something), so when I saw that post, I was curious what the point was.

I believe that post was made when you were talking about George Brett's pine tar incident. I don't recall the story you told, however. Hope that helps.

Man I am already feeling sick to my stomach with nervousness, thinking about that 2nd set of 4 games. That series is so unbelievably huge.

Yup, it's me...I check on the board a lot. I like to know if we screw up and you always let us know!

Was wondering if that post was referring to the George Brett story? I was referring to a story about it with the anniversary tomorrow.

Len

Nice to meet ya Len... :D

One favor if possible. Would you PLEASE stop telling us things we already know. Like how Chris Young hit the homer off Ted Lilly in the playoff. Every time you do that, the next pitch gets hit...!!!! Same thing with Carlos Lee....all Cubs fans know he's hits us big time, so we don't need constant reminders every time he comes to the plate.

So please....do your recap/reviews at another time... :beg:

Yeah Len, stop doing your job.

Instead you should make up cool phrases like "duck snort" and "he gawn." The game would be way more interesting that way!

Yeah I don't like his voice, but he's still better than Santo. I have to listen to MLB audio because I don't have cable or satellite tv. Ron totally told Cory to shut up during the 5th inning though, that was hilarious.

Cory said something about the Brewers being a half game back, and Ron basically told him to shut up and not talk about that half game crap, and how much he hates half-game talk. lulz.

That 8th inning felt cleansing. We could easily lose tomorrow, but at this point I'm just happy we won this one.

Ramirez breaks his slump with a hit...I develop a grin to see him do what he's paid to do.

Soto follows with a solid single on an 0-2 count...my grin gets bigger to see him do what he's paid to do.

Fukudome gets a walk...my grin is now very noticable as I see him do what he's paid to do

DeRosa walks in a run...I develop a slight giggle as Dusty Baker is proven wrong once again

The Reed...well he's not paid to hit righties but the HR made me delirious.

We're not the only fans who watch, Amie.

Seriously, it can get repetitive to us because we watch all the games and remember most of the stuff that happens, but very few baseball broadcasts are geared to this type of viewer.

But on that final note, someone should remind our pitchers to not throw fastballs to Chris Young anymore. Seems like every other team in baseball has picked up on it except us.
