I don't understand how this team sucks so much on the road. The Cell series was the most befuddling one of them all, but we suck at Houston too, where we should have success. A right handed-dominant lineup should be able to own Minute Maid.

I didn't expect to win this game because I thought Lilly would've been shelled. But he pitched a solid game and our offense decides to die yet again.

our bullpen sucks

Not really, but keep thinking that.

Losing to the last place team in the division ALWAYS sucks. Neither team "deserved" this game, but of course the team with the last at-bat will get the win. Come out tomorrow and kick the Astos butts, Cubs. You need to take control of the divison.

I was really hoping and expecting the Cubs to get off to a fast start in the second half, then they start out with one of their worst offensive performances of the season against a garbage pitcher. Thanks.

I think the Cubs deserved it less with only 5 baserunners all game and absolutely not a single baserunner past the 5th inning.

Me too actually. I was feeling pretty confident that we would start off the second half on a run that would be fed by Sori's return. This might end up being an abberation and we might still go on that run, who knows. We do have Z and Demp to close out the series then Harden going on Monday.

Not really, but keep thinking that.

Losing to the last place team in the division ALWAYS sucks. Neither team "deserved" this game, but of course the team with the last at-bat will get the win. Come out tomorrow and kick the Astos butts, Cubs. You need to take control of the divison.

I think the Cubs deserved it less with only 5 baserunners all game and absolutely not a single baserunner past the 5th inning.

Perhaps, the Astros had more baserunners, and they only score 2 runs all night. So, while I do agree the Cubs prolly "deserve" this loss, by no means did Astros earn this win.

I am pretty confident the Cubs will win the next two games. and take the series.

Ankiel now has 5 more HRs than the Cubs leader in dingers

I thought the Padres had a good bullpen. We really should go out and get Greg Maddux. :^o
