Vitters now 2 for 3 with his 7th double at Boise.

Solid outing for Pina before Jackson came in and just dominated.

What? Suarez is back? It makes me believe that they are rushing him back since he had such a low pitch count. Am I right?

Rebel Ridling celebrates his 7th inning HR

Ridling did him one better just three batters later when he hit a monster two-run home run to straightaway center that went over the batter’s eye and onto the playground behind it. Chiefs play-by-play man Nathan Baliva said it was the second-longest home run he’d seen at O’Brien Field. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better start here,” Ridling said. “With wood, that’s one of the top two longest I’ve hit.”

AZ Phil on Suarez, apparently he had the timing on the TJS wrong:

Also, Larry Suarez threw in an AZL game this week. I had thought in April that he had Tommy John surgery at that time (because somebody told me that), but apparently he had his TJS after last season (around the same time as Oswaldo Martinez and Angel Guzman), and went to see his doctor and got shut-down for a couple of months in April not to have TJS, but rather because he had developed a sore arm while rehabbing (as also happened with Rafael Dolis). But Suarez started throwing again last month and so his rehab is back in full swing. Only Dolis remains shut-down from among the 2007 TJS guys, and his problem is a sore shoulder.
