Saw this media approval rating idea on Deadspin.com and thought it would be fun to do it for the local folks who cover the cubs. If people like this idea I will post a second poll for another cubs personality. If people do not get into it I will make it go the way of clear Pepsi.

He's a fun loving guy who seems to genuinely like the Cubs. Some of his stuff is weird like his Blue Train thing, and last year when he would try to put jinx's on the opposing pitcher. Seems like something out of Stacey King's book. Overall though I approve.

I approve, even though I didn't like when he thought Kendall should start in the playoffs last year because he was more experienced.

we laughed the other day when before harden's start plesac had 'getting the first batter out' as a key to the game, then followed that up by saying 'preferably by striking him out.'

not a k? we're dooooooooooooomed!

Ha. I thought the exact same thing when I saw that. He is way too goofy for my taste...he is from Gary, which is kind of cool.

That stuff is oddly entertaining even though I typically wouldn't like goofiness from analysts.

I think that's the best thing he has going for him. He's okay as an analyst. Some times he has really good points, some times he just uses conventional cliche's. As Ping said he does ramble at times.

It seems like he goes on and on without taking a breath... And then he runs out and has to inhale.

Always tries to suck up to the Cubs, make things look positive when they're not, etc.

Disapprove.
