I'm sure most know who Vasgersian is at this point. He's done Olympic baseball and softball as well as a few Saturday FOX baseball games, as well as WSOP.
Isn't he also the guy who used to broadcast wrestling matches? And he broadcasts NFL games too (I think including some of the Bears' games this year).

XFL.

He's the lead broadcaster for all the MLB 0x: The Show games, and has been doing that for Sony 989 games since the late 90's

Wrestling, XFL, same difference; they're both Vince McMahon toys. :D

They are in talks with Bob Costas. Been a while since he has done baseball but you can tell he loves the game.

I love me some Bob Costas. Great baseball and football guy. Signing long term with NBC was a bad move for him. Until NBC got football back, he was useless except for the Olympics and his HBO show. Meanwhile, we got to listen to the awful baseball announcers on FOX and especially TBS. The fact that Costas hasn't called a baseball game lately and freaking Dick Stockton gets the playoffs is a travesty.

I just noticed MLB Network has already been added to my cable. It's not the entire thing hough, it says "MLB Network got full time on January 1" or something like that right. Right now they're playing something got "Baseball's Epic Moments" and it's just a bunch of hightlights with dramatic music in the background.

Intense programming.

I had to go until January 11 to find a program dedicated to the Cubs (and it is a replay of the 1979 Cubs/Phillies game). Between Jan 1 - Jan 11, they have had featured programs on the Yankees, Giants, Red Sox, Rays, Phillies, Brewers, Dodgers, Cardinals, Braves and Mets.

The best is the 5 part, 5 hour special they are running on the Red Sox history. Apparently it's not only ESPN that has a bias. Why aren't the Marlins or Royals having any coverage?

Advertisers don't want to pay for a Jeff "Mr. Marlin" Conine retrospective.

The most popular teams will get the most time, even if the entire league runs the channel. Advertising dollars are very important, especially for a new network. Interesting that nothing on the Cubs or White Sox that early though, Chicago is a pretty large baseball market.

I know how it works, its just annoying. It personally turns me off to see just about anything Red Sox/Yankees related because its been done before. I don't need another network overexposing those teams.

right now they're playing the white sox world series special..... again

Every time I flip by the channel I see Bobby Jenks warming up in the bullpen. Either a big coincidence or it is on constantly.

Anybody in the Chicagoland area with Comcast Cable have the channel yet? I haven't seen it yet on my box.

It supposed to be added on channel 410 tomorrow (12/18), but here on Schaumburg Comcast headend they added it tonight.
