Don't know if this has been mentioned but it was clear that the Cardinals announcers didn't know Marshall's name.

"Here comes the pitch from, uh, Mr. Lefthander."

I wouldn't notice if it happened once or twice. This happened several times. It was like a guy in the morning trying to remember the name of his one night stand.

Shannon's probably too sloshed to remember.

Remember yesterday, after Aramis's last 1 pitch out, I said if he had another weak 1-pitch out, I'd fly to STL and call him stupid. The next AB, he watched the first 2 pitches, but got out. Then I said if he didn't break out of his slump I was going to fly to STL and call him stupid. The next AB, he hit a home run and now has had a great game so far.

I take my thank you's in the form of personal checks.

And you're welcome.

Great news. Please pray the Brewers gave up a ton.

The Brewers would have to have given up a ton to get him. Why else would the Indians trade him this early? His value could only go up closer to the deadline, when teams get desperate.

If true, Hendry needs to get Burnett or Harden.

If indeed true, than the Cubs "lukewarm interests" in AJ Burnett, is no longer lukewarm. I hate being a fan of a team that is reactive, instead of proactive, but if the Cubs could land Burnett or Harden, then I won't mind.

Either way the Brewers get the better player, so it is bad news.

I don't think saying we're reactive is fair in this instance. Word was that Hendry was actively after Sabathia, we just didn't have the players to match-up well with them.
