Who's left to care about at Iowa? No Pie, Hill, Gallagher, Marshall, Murton, Patterson or Hoffpauir. I guess there's Ascanio and now Samardzija, but man that team is lacking prospects.

Murton and Hoffpauir will be down there soon enough, as will Hart. Wells is worth watching despite his implosion in his last outing.

I am going to Burlington this evening to watch the Peoria Chiefs. So glad to see Rhee is pitching. Can't wait to see what he has in the way of stuff, and pitches. Here's to hoping the rain holds off so the game can be played. Wish the line up was loaded with prospects, but I look forward to seeing Smith and Rosa and Donaldson. Will post my thoughts from the game.

McPherson?!!?!? He's still alive?

I believe he's leading the minors with something like 26 homers now.

Samardzija's 5th: K swinging, ground out to pitcher, K swinging

5 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 1 HR, 5/1 K/BB, 3-5 GO-FO, 76 pitches

Pina struck out the side in the first for Boise, Vitters reached on an error by his 3B counterpart

Samardzija's 6th: Double, HBP, fly out to deeeep CF(McPherson, runner to 3rd), RBI double(second runner out at home), walk, wild pitch, ground out

6 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 1 HR, 5/2 K/BB, HBP, 2 WP, 4-6 GO-FO, 96 pitches

That should probably be his final line. A very nice outing for his first AAA start, especially in the hitters haven that is Albuquerque.

Beef Wellington Castillo is 3-5 with a homer and 3 RsBI tonight.

larry craig is 4-5 with 2 doubles... his line on the year is something like .366/.520/.560 in roughly 125 PAs, and he also destroyed the southern league last season to the tune of .326/.416/.514/.931. time to send that young man to iowa.

Is he new to the system? That name doesn't sound familiar to me.
