God, I just saw Mets-Yanks is on next week on FOX, and it looks like I'll get that instead of Cubs-Sox in North Carolina.

JD Drew homered, it's 8-3 Cards now.

WTF the play by play announcer just called Jason Larue a cowboy. He and McCarver jut had a 2 or 3 minute conversation talking about why LaRue is a true cowboy.

Seriously. This is becoming a joke. Today they feature Aaron Miles batting second, Jason LaRue, Adam Kennedy at freakin' DH, Brendan Ryan at SS, and no Pujols. This is a collection of misfits and they put up 9 freaking runs.

another reason to pick up sabathia - aside from a solid 7 IP, 1 ER, 10 K performance, he also hit an absolute bomb over the bullpen at dodger stadium

Yep, say that

Get er done Jim, bury these Cardinals once and for all

Pretty funny that it just so happens as we skid against Tampa, the Cards can't win against the lowly Royals AT HOME.

Then we put up a couple good wins against a quality opponent, and the Cards suddenly come alive against one of the best teams in baseball while on the road.

Just very weird. There's no accounting for it, just how it goes I guess.

We just have to accept that the Cards aren't going to fall off. If they haven't by now, I don't think they will.

We hadnt fallen off by now in 2001, but we did. I hope this is the same thing. But, at least we had Sammy Sosa to keep us alive. I guess Ludwig is that to them.

They fell off last year, late. They were right there all year until pretty much the very end.

This year will probably be no different. If they do drop away, it won't be for a long time yet.

As I recall, they were awful at first, got really hot, and then fell off.

They were. I think they will try to trade for a pitcher this year. I wouldn't be suprised to see them go after Burnett.

That was actually pretty funny. Sigh.

I know they've had their share of injuries, but with that garbage in the lineup today, how in the world do they score 9 runs against the best team in the "superior league?"

I honestly think they could run our peoria chiefs out there in their jerseys and go over.500.

I'm pretty sure God could assemble an all star team of former major leaguers from heaven and the Cardinals would still win 12-2.

Yeah but the better team would be from hell anyways.

Who the hell are the Pelicans? The Rays and Astros are having a turn back the clock game, and the Stros have their hideous 70's/80's unis, Obvious, the Rays dont have a very deep history, and are playing as the St. Petersberg Pelicans.

Mostly because Dice K had Rich Hill like performance today. He threw 48 pitches and only 1/2 were strikes.

yeah, that cardinal offense has not been producing much recently. i attribute today's performance more to daisuke having terrible command than the cards playing great baseball.

unfortunately the brewers are winning this evening.

Like most, I wowuld like to put the foot to the Cards throat, and just killed their season, but as long as the Cubs take care of their business, the Cards won't catch them. And the Brewers are still not a threat.

On Brewerfan they are pretty giddy about Z being hurt. They were openly rooting for his MRI to go bad. Pretty classless. It seems most on here were sad to see Yo get hurt.
