I saw a Kasey Ignarski shout out at the end of the Pedro Martinez article towards the end of the Cubs Uniform History article. Wasn't he a poster here at one time?

Plus our logo from when the Bears were created is still used by them today. It's not really uni related but he had another non-uni related on in the Uniwatch.

The Bears first season was 1920.

 

Although I was curious to see if the Reds stole the logo as well since they have the same C design as the Bears. Looks like they had it first actually.

Lastly it this should have been included as I think it may be the most unique thing. In our regular logo we have the R circled trademark symbol but in our alternative logo we use the TM. You can see it on the link I have above.

The "TM" mark does not actually appear on any of the Cubs jerseys, the R does. Besides that, I'm sure other teams use the R on some logos and the TM on others because the use of those restrictive designations is determined by the mark you are protecting.

 

Either way, unless TM is actually on a jersey it doesn't belong in the article. The article is about uniforms, not logos. The writer even made the point that those restrictive marks show up everywhere for every team mark except on the uniforms.
