Notes: Sean Marshall is still listed as the probable on the I-Cubs's web site. Grant Johnson is on a 35 pitch count. Jose Pina is making his first appearance after Tommy John surgery last year.

IowaCubs.com still has Marshall going tonight with Rich Hill pitching tomorrow, according to today's game notes.

If the original plan was to have Hill pitch tonight and Marshall tomorrow, I'd imagine that they made the switch to allow Marshall to line up better with Zambrano's next turn through the rotation.

Marshall's spot is ready in Chicago. Another very quick inning.

51 pitches through 5. Are we sure that's really Sean out there?

Rhee: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 unearned run, 3 K/3 BB, 8 GO-3 FO.

Too many walks since he came back from the injury. It's like he never gives up earned runs.

Little trouble in the 7th, gives up a single and a walk, but gets another doubleplay.

7 IP, 74 pitches, 49 strikes, 3 hits, 0 runs, 1 BB, 4 Ks.

Really stretching Marshall out tonight.

He's thru 8 with 87 pitches. He did give up a solo HR in the 8th though.

8 IP, 4 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 Ks.

Interesting stat. 11 outs on the ground, and 7 in the air. Only 1 of those air outs recorded by an OF, and Marshall got 2 doubleplays on balls hit in the air on the infield. 24 outs recorded and 1 left the IF.

Sontag went 0-5 with 5K's in Boise. I wonder if he was even at the ballpark today?

Looks like David Macias was added to Boise roster for the injured Tony Campana.

Tonight was a really positive night down on the farm.

Marhsall, Samardzjia, Rhee pitching well. Colvin getting 2 hits, Vitters with an RBI single.
