I never really understood why Iowa fans think their team is relevant, and that Illinois fans care about them. Iowa is a big 10 school so sure Illinois fans may throw Iowas name into a conversation, but its not like Illinois fans are ever too concerned with Iowa basketball. All Illinois fans are concerned with regarding Iowa basketball players is making sure no rapes take place while Iowa is in Champaign....

Yeah, Illinois basketball history isn't much better than Iowa's. And trust me, when you grow up in the Quad Cities you see irrational Iowa hatred from Illinois fans.

In his defense, the reffing was awful both ways, Illinois just got a little bit worse end of it than Michigan. They weren't calling anything under the basket, and I'm not sure which team that helped or hurt more.

In his defense, the reffing was awful both ways, Illinois just got a little bit worse end of it than Michigan. They weren't calling anything under the basket, and I'm not sure which team that helped or hurt more.

 

Helped out Michigan more. I couldn't believe there were no fouls called during some of the action in the 2nd half after Illinois misses

Trust me when I say my hatred of Iowa has nothing to do with saying they won't win more than 6 games this year. I said it in the preseason when somebody said they'd be better this year.(Though I did say they'd have more than their 13 wins they had total last year.

 

The Big Ten is vastly improved, and the only guaranteed win Iowa had in conference season just happened in a dogfight. Iowa will beat a couple teams they shouldn't by getting hot from 3 point range, but I don't think you guys realize how bad this Indiana team is.

 

I was wrong about Iowa football this year. It happens. I don't recall saying Iowa would win 4 games last year in basketball, but it's quite possible. They won 6. It's not like I said they'd be awful and they made the tourney. They were a bad team last year, and a bad team this year.

Iowa sucks now. I'll admit that. I'm still going to watch my team play and cheer for them. At the moment Iowa is 1-1 in conference. We'll see what happens going from there.
