by the way, the home run came on a breaking ball on the outer half of the plate - you know, the pitch that geo can't hit.

we get it

something tells me that the next game geo goes 0-for-4 will be a demonstration that people don't get it.

No, no! He just got a hit off of it! The past few weeks of sucking have just been a mirage!

I hope that this is a turning point and his prolonged slump is done, but it's not like one awesome AB instantly negates how bad he's looked for a few weeks now.

I would just like to see him stop his antagonistic crusade.

Get what?

It'll be fantastic if he's "figured that pitch out." 1 great AB isn't proof of that.

he's got just over 300 PAs against major league pitching. pitchers needed some time to adjust to soto and learn what he does well - drive fastballs on the inner half of the plate - and now soto is learning to adjust to what big league pitchers are doing to get him out - throwing him breaking balls and trying to force him to go the other way. most guys are not albert pujols; they don't come up with no holes in their game. for most guys, it's a learning process where they fill the holes in their game over time.

good job cubs.

BTW, is Carlos the only one that hasn't been doing blue tops? If so, you gotta think they went back to the blues at Z's request.
