Take out the dominating pitcher who is also famous for his good bat control for a pitcher just to have the pinch hitter bunt. Good job, Bud Black!

It's all about "what have you done lately" with Bud Black. Maddux popped up a bunt in his first AB, so Bud Black loses faith in him to get the job done. Funny, cause I never seem to complain about Maddux's bunting skills when he was a Cub.

the balk is the worst rule in sports. THAT's a balk but the fake-third-to-first move isn't?

Maddux coulda gone another inning, too.

At least.

He's averaging 5.2 ip and 75 pitches per game. 1 more would probably have been near his limit, even if it went well

Opposing teams should decrease the ticket price when the Cubs come to town, instead of increasing them by designating them premium games. Cub fans will be at the ballpark no matter what, but they'll draw more of their own fans and perhaps not be embarrassed in their own ballpark with a "Let's go Cubbies!" chant.

WGN news advertising "the most haunted town in America"

I'm whipping up some snake oil, but I'm not sure if I should sell it in that town or the WGN HQ

Go to gameday and check out the dude pitching for the Royals right now. He looks like Jar Jar Binks.

i thought that was richard jefferson.

I remember this guy from the Red Sox no hitter last month. I was following that game on GameDay, and I remember saying to myself that Yabuta looks like an alien. Sam Cassell is another NBA comparison.
