The situation we have with Marmol and Wood tonight is why a good long reliever is so valuable to a team. I've been saying it for years: A good long man is worth his weight in gold.

lineup looks fine, though i'd have gone with derosa then johnson. but johnson does hit LHP well.

question: when are the lineups due? it seems they always come out 30-40 min before the game. i wonder if mlb mandates this? seems there could be reason for a team to wait until right before game time, or wait and see who the other team plays

I love the West Coast games... I work until 10:30PM Central nightly, so I get to catch the last 3-4 innings at the local watering hole of my choice, or in sparkling HD at home.
