walk the guy with a sub-.300 OBP and no homers to set up a 2-run jack for the other guy with a sub .300 OBP and no homers.

Nice.

Dempster would walk the lineup if they would let him.

CUBS have only thrown out 1 runner trying to steal in their last 22 games

Go CUBS !!

How many SB have there been? I can remember 2-3 that were bad calls.

I've been very impressed with Dempster this year, but he's been giving up way too many walks (and a lot of them to crappy teams/batters) all season for it to not eventually bite him hard.

He has been ok, but if we get to the playoffs and are using him in the rotation we will be in trouble.

He can't throw stirkes, a good team. I.E. one that made the playoffs should be able to exploit that.

That depends on which Dempster shows up on a given day. It's not like he's a smoke and mirrors guy, his stuff is good enough to shut the opposition down provided he is commanding it well.

The problem is that varies from inning to inning.

In terms of runs allowed, I'd call him "okay."

I meant compared to what most of us expected. I thought he would have crapped out completely by now.
