What a tough game to miss. But, I was golfing for free, and that's always a good thing. I rushed here after seeing the highlights on ESPN with no sound. Most of the highlights featured some guy I couldn't recognize singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame", and I figured it must have been a really bad version.

But, what scared me was seeing Soto with only 2 at bats in the box score. I'm relieved to know these guys were just pulled for rest.

I'm still a bit buzzed, but I'm celebrating a huge comeback!

There were actually three of them: Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, and Tony Esposito (although Hull was the leader). And yes it was a really bad version, maybe the worst ever (although Ozzy Osbourne might dispute that). They were off to the races, singing way ahead of the crowd.

If you have an MLB.com account (free) you can watch the game for free on the site.. I've watched from the 6th inning on so far.

Wanna know what's really funny? Set it on fast forward. Heh, it's funny. Sounds like you're listening to gibberish, while the game is in full speed.

Or if you only want the run-scoring plays, I open the mlb gameday from the game and watch the videos in the video tab.

Bobby & Stan might have butchered the 7th inning stretch by singing at light speed but seriously, I enjoyed listening to Bobby Hull during the bottom of the 7th inning. The guy seems like a true blue Chicago fan, heck he watched the Bears win a NFL title in frigid temps at Wrigley Field back in the day. I can respect that.

I've watched the cubs since '84. Dear God, I've had some gut wrenching times.

However, when I watch this team, I get that same feeling like being 5 years old. . . on Christmas eve. . . . you know something really good is going to happen - you just aren't 100% sure what it is.

I've never experienced this as a Cub fan.

Sure, it might blow up next week, but dangit, it's so much fun right now.

We really need to stop and smell the roses --- enjoy this for the moment and not get too wrapped up in any negative stuff.

Insanity reigns. Wrigley must have been amazing after DeRo's homer.

I would have given anything to be there. I immediately got goose bumps (amidst running wild up and down the stairs). Does anyone know if any posters were there?

It was incredible. I'm pretty sure that's the loudest I've ever heard that stadium get. Ever.

Not gonna argue with that one.

I was in the bleachers the night of the Cards game when Jacque homered and Barrett hit the grand slam to win it. That was unreal. If today was louder, wow.

Good call. That was a pretty loud game as well. I can't really compare the two (mostly because I don't remember the Cards game as well since it was way back in 2006).

Well yeah. I'm comparing it to sosa's 60th HR in 99, the Reds game last year with the ramirez triple and the derosa walk-off infield hit as those are the other two ridiculously loud events i've been too. But yeah, today was just insane.

Must've been amazing. Couldn't have been as loud as Kerry Wood's game tying homer in Game 7 of 2003, though, right?

Well I don't remember the crowd reaction well enough to compare but today was certainly the loudest game I've ever been to.

Not a chance. It was louder on the streets for game 7 than it was today.

What a great comeback win today!

Wish I played hooky and went to the game today though. My cousin had an extra ticket.

Loudest, IMO.

Game 1, 2003 NLCS. Sosa hits the game tying homer in the bottom of the ninth of of Ugeth Urbina. Hands down loudest Wrigley has ever been in my lifetime. Of all the hundreds of games I have been to in my life, that was the loudest. Even Waveland, Sheffield and all the rooftops could be heard.

Insanity at its finest.

"When DeRosa's ball went out of the ballpark, that's the loudest this place has been all year," Piniella said. "By far. It was almost deafening."
