This may be the most points I've got in a day since joining. Doesn't erase a 1-5 record, but it sure is fun.

Happy to only be down by 7.5 points with a 2 start advantage so far this week. I was concerned about my pitching points this week with the offenses my pitchers are facing.

My outfielders are dropping like flies. It might be time to promote Wladimir Balentien. The kid has got mammoth power.

Furcal to the DL. :(

I made a FA addition to make up for the spot. Can I move Riot to SS and use a FA in the 2B spot or does the FA addition have to go in the SS spot? If it's not legal and I don't get the roster fixed in time, we can take the points away.

You can do that.

Yeah, I did something similar last week, although I brought someone up from my bench. Vernon Wells broke his wrist, so I moved Braun to the outfield from 3b and put Edwin Encarnacion in at 3b.

I'd say it's okay.

well, that comeback didn't last long.

before the week started i conceded that halladay and sheets would own the twins and the dodgers, but i wasn't really counting on three 5.00 erea starters all putting up 20+ point games and jered weaver and matt garza flirting with 30.

103.25-18.25 lead for me (one pitching start disadvantage). The good version of Edwin Jackson showed up again, and this time I had him in my lineup. And my one-two bullpen punch of Shields and K-Rod combined for double digits again.

I'm down five starts to one, but I have a slight lead. If I can just keep my pitchers from going negative, I should pull out a victory this week.

You had JD pull off a nice start. It may come down to bats this week. We'll see... your staff isn't spectacular, that's for sure. You're talking about Weaver and his 5+ era, but that's not typical of him. Historically (last 2 seasons) he's been very good. I don't know what the ERA fix is, especially this early in the year. AJB is another one that isn't typically as bad as he's been. I'll give you Garza, but AJ and Weaver aren't putting up typical results thus far.

well, they sure broke out of it this week. i guess i've never been a big believer in weaver for whatever reason. and people need to stop knocking le douche. he's always been good...he's just doing it as a starter now. show le douche the respect he deserves.

enough piling on about my staff...i have four guys in the top 35, which is more than you or tim can say.

i think i'm in for a rough one today with halladay going up against the twins...

Never been a big Weaver fan either. He was great for me in his rookie year, but I traded him that offseason, because I felt he would struggle. He did a lot last year and it has really continued this year. I did the same thing last offseason with Gallardo. I was predicting he would get injured, and he's gonna finish with 3 starts this season. I'll probably do the same with Edison Volquez at some point this season or offseason.

It's nice having Lackey back.

I feel good about the week. Raw has had 2 bad starts to my 1. I took the lead for about an hour tonight, but Raw is back up by a point.

I have a 5-3 pitching advantage the rest of the week and none of those starts will be J. Francis!

I've never been high on Dempster, but he's making a believer out of me so far this year. For the Cubs sake, I hope he continues to be this effective.
