The Breers are just as hapless as we are. The Astros, on the other hand, could be a problem.

The Astros rotation is bad. I'm not worried about them.

I'm not worried about the Brewers anymore, really. They're Gallardo-less and honestly really don't appear to be as good as we thought they would be.

STL on the other hand will continue to be invincible sending out Wainwright against another winless Rockies starter (Francis).

Unless the Astros start wearing Cardinal jerseys, they won't be above .500. And as soon as Sheets goes down, we just have to pray that the Cardinals eventually realize how horrible of a team they are.

With Gallardo out, The Brewers rotation is just as bad. 1 ace, with a bunch of number 4-5 guys. Houston at least has a relatively solid closer. We have an uber-ace, 2 number 3s, and a bunch of 5s, and the best damn set up man in the history of baseball. As for the Cards...well, they're just an anomally.

How does Sheets going down affect the Cardinals?

I wouldn't count out the Brewers. I wonder what people were saying about us last June...

If Sheets gets hurt, VJ won't worry about the Brewers. Thusly, the Cardinals would be the remaining threat.

Cards next series is against the Brewers. I gotta feeling the Brewers will come back to life, playing the Cards at their home park.

Cards will win 5 games in the series.

Am I being overly optimistic when saying that its very Cub like, after losing a bunch of series' to a bunch of crappy teams to come back and beat up on a much better team?

I remember last season, when we were at our worst, we beat up on Seattle when they were on their unbeatable streak.

First two Cardinals (Barton and Miles) reach in front of Pujols. Uh oh.

Smoked grounder to 3rd, bobbled, out at first. Should have been 2, but these are the Cardinals, after all.

Amezaga just made an INCREDIBLE catch diving behind him near the CF wall.

Edit: Okay, not really as much of a dive as I thought....more of a leap.

The pixie dust is even getting to Izturis....8 game hitting streak with the single tonight. Edited by bcruise
