Random question, I know where the quote is from, but why does he always say "fill thine horn with oil and go" after a Ryan HOward home run?? Still doesn't make any sense to me. Thanks to anyone who has any clue why he always says that.

he does it with home runs from any player, not just howard. I'm pretty sure it's from the bible. It's his catch phrase and he uses it WAY too much.

That guy can kiss the fattest part of my ass. You think Chris Berman and Joe Morgan are annoying guys to listen to? Try listening to this clown say "Say hello to my little friend" 5 times a show.

Just put Karl Ravech on BBTN full time.

"Let's play name that Molina"

Ravech is almost never on anymore either.

Berthiaume/Eduardo Perez/Fernando Vina is a nightmare lineup. It needs to be Ravech/Hershiser/Kurkjian every day and that's it.

Steve Berthiaume is terrible.

You could literally see the frustration on Ravech's face when he was working with those guys. If he had to interview Joe Morgan before one of the Sunday night games, you could tell that he wanted to scratch his own eyes out.

A million times yes. There's not a time when I see him that I don't want to see him locked in a dungeon and tortured by mole people.

I know people hate ESPN, but when BBTN had the lineup up Ravech, Reynolds, Kruk, and Phillips, it was entertaining to watch because they almost always disagreed with each other and they made a lot of funny one-liners and allusions to their past failures as baseball players/managers

And honestly, who watches BBTN for the analysis? Everyone knows they're not that good, but me personally I watch it for the highlights.

But yeah, the current rotation sucks. I hate it when an ex-position player gives pitching analysis. Then again, I'm fairly certain all their analysis is written for them. How the hell is Eduardo Perez supposed to know about pitching release slots and control issues related to foot placement and other intricate pitching analysis?

I miss when BBTN was Ravech, Reynolds and Gammons. Yknow, before Kruk and Phillips and Vina and the other crap became ESPN employees. It was mildly watchable and enjoyable.

I miss watching Reynolds and Kruk argue both sides of a completely asinine issue.

I hate Vina and his fake ass analysis. I like Phillips. He has some ganas, while everyone else kisses a player's ass who doesn't deserve it, he'll call guys out more than most.

Are you kidding? There are people on here who do that every day. And he, ya know, actually played baseball. Maybe not well, but better than guys on here who think baseball is played on a TI85.

That is precisely the argument I was thinking of. Thanks, Truffle!
