Thankfully for him the Nationals intentionally walked him in the 8th inning last night. If not for that at-bat, Soto would be 1 strikeout away from matching the major league record for most consecutive strikeouts.

I suspect this Soto thing is a fluke. It's just too absurd to take that seriously.

 

Finish it Cubs.

I hope Soto doesn't start slumping.

 

Cedeno rocks.

 

I think that eight consecutive strike outs qualifies as "starting" a slump. If it was Theriot instead I can't imagine the uproar on this board. Let's just hope Soto snaps out of it quickly. The Cubs need his offense against the Brewers.
