I'm so incredibly sick of these two pathetic Triple A infielders.....Fontenot has done nothing to earn PT, and Theriot should be at 2nd.

This, and only until Soriano comes back.

what happened

Grounder to Cedeno, should have been a DP because Tulo was slow out of the box but Theriot flat out dropped Cedeno's toss and the Cubs didn't get any outs. Holliday scored 3-2 Rockies.

Check swing grounder to Cedeno at second. Flipped to Theriot (good flip, for the record) and he dropped the ball. All runners safe. BB thought it would have been 2 to get us out of the inning.

what happened

Theriot dropped the feed from Cedeno on what could have been an inning ending double play that would have preserved the tie.

easy doubleplay ball. Cedeno tossed it to theriot - chest high, perfect toss. Theriot bobbled and dropped it, no outs recorded, 1 run scores.

In all fairness Theriot would have made that play if Fontenot had flipped it to him, and not Cedeno.

OK This is the 4th time I believe in the last 4 games which we had the bases loaded with 0 outs and only scored 1 run or less. This is something that has gone on with this team for years.

What is the run expectancy with bases loaded 0 outs and the top of the order due up?

The Cubs, coming into today, had 32 runs scored from 35 chances with the bases loaded. That's not bad.

Stop using facts.

I'm not sure how that goes against what UMFan said earlier. When bukie said 32 runs in 35 chances, he means 35 plate appearances with the bases loaded. That's not to say that the Cubs have been bad with the bases loaded. They've actually been good. However, they have squandered some opportunities the past few games.
