Matt Morris was rocked for eight runs in four innings by the Marlins on Monday night.

So far we've used "tagged," "pounded," and "rocked" to describe his outings this season. He allowed nine hits in the three innings, and two of them were home runs. This could be a very long season for Morris

I put this in the gamthread but since we are talking about rotoworld making fun of the pirates....

Xavier Nady-OF- Pirates Apr. 21 - 9:50 pm et

Xavier Nady finished 2-of-4 with a run scored and two RBI as the Pirates lost to the Cubs on Monday.

Nady doubled, but both runs scored on a bases loaded single in the bottom of the eighth. Nady has now hit in nine straight, raising his average to .347 with 17 RBI, but don't expect him to sustain this early season pace.

That probably wasnt on purpose, but even when the Pirates aren't playing the cubs, they lose to the cubs.

Hats off to both of you for making me laugh with your responses. =D>

Pirates released RHP Matt Morris.

Not a surprise, but still a tough blow for the Pirates who are going to have to write him an $11 million check. He was 0-4 with a 9.67 ERA in five starts this year. "Matt Morris has been a true professional," said manager John Russell. "He's had a great career. He wanted to help us win, and it just wasn't happening." Phil Dumatrait is going to take his spot in the rotation. Apr. 27 - 12:21 pm et

Wow, thats a big piece of their payroll (about 1/5 according to SI.com) at home watching on the couch.
