Happy Mother's Day!

"Thank God today wasn't Mother's Day."

Robert Horry strikes again! That was a clean play but it was something to hear their fans chanting his name after taking West out of the game. Man I hate the Spurs.

Can anyone explain why they have 3 off days before game 7? So we're looking at no games Saturday, possibly no games Sunday (but probably 1) and two game 7's on Monday? Is that right?

The NBA is so ridiculous.

There's no way home court advantage should make this much of a difference. I mean it's just ridiculous in the Hornets-Spurs series. Every game has been a blowout in favor of the home team.

this post-season pretty much has to lead to conspiracy theories

I don't see why the NBA would have the home team win virtually every game, though. I understand about conspiracy theories regarding each series going 7 games but why would the NBA fix it so the home team won every game?

No, it's the way refs call games. A harsh foul by the home team = breathing on guy foul on visiting team

I've seen a tendency for the refs to do that but I don't see the point in the NBA doing it. It just seems kind of pointless to me.

I don't think it's conspiracy so much as simply awful refereeing. Almost every official is completely affected by the home crowd.

And the Cleveland-Boston series is heading back to Boston for a Game 7.

lol, that charge on pierce was hilarious. thats what we call home court advantage...the refs help you out at home. boston should still be able to close them out in game 7.

Yeah, I thought it should have been a no call. LeBron got the ball and Pierce tried to sell it as a foul on LeBron but I wasn't buying that. I wasn't buying the offensive foul either.

Thanks for showing up Boozer, you bum. Real nice series.

He was awful and cost them the series or at least forcing game 7. Disappointed in how they played the first 3 quarters. Bad defense and got too caught up in the officiating. They played a great 4th but that quick 6 Kobe put up on two tough shots in the middle of the quarter and the iffy charge call were too much. Still had a couple good looks to tie it at the end.

Man I hope the Hornets can win game 7 and beat the Lakers. I really wanted to see a Jazz-Hornets conference final.

It was ridiculous how many easy layups and open shots the Lakers were getting early in the game when they built the big lead. They were basically able to do whatever they wanted offensively. They came back in the fourth - mainly because of a ton of offensive rebounds which they weren't getting earlier in the game - but the deficit was just too much.

Yeah that was the last thing I was expecting from them in a closeout game at home. They looked like they had a major hangover from game 5. And again, Boozer just killed them. He got his boards but only 16 ppg on 40% from the field.

Something needs to be done about NBA officiating. It's Big Ten-esque the amount of preference the home team gets. New Orleans got like 5 shots their last possession because they were just pushing the Spurs players out of the way on every board.

There are no teams left in the playoffs worth rooting for.

I don't think that the NBA gets that none of its real fans were even alive when Boston and LA played those great series. It kinda makes it lame for them to be forcing that series on us.

Donaghy is saying that there were improper actions from other officials. Teams, coaches and players got favorable treatment according to his attorney to the gov't.
