Utah over LA 4-2 (my hatred for all things Lakes besides Jordan Farmar showing?)

Nah, I'm kind of worried about that series (assuming the Lakers advance). I think the Lakers match up well against Houston, Phoenix, Dallas and Denver and I think they match up pretty well against New Orleans. San Antonio and Utah (despite going 3-1 against the Jazz) are the two teams I'm worried most about with New Orleans third.

Not really a NBA guy unless the Bulls are in it or it's the Conference finals and above. But has the NBA learned we don't want a month long 1st round.

Sadly they haven't.

Utah vs Cleveland

Cleveland wins it all

We are all witnesses.

In all seriousness I bet Stern already has informed the officials that LA and Boston will be meeting for the title.

Last night the Ducks played the Stars in Dallas, tonight they play in Anaheim. Why they can't do this in basketball amazes me.

Wow. Duncan just hit a three to tie the game at 104 with 3 seconds left in OT. It was his first 3-pointer of the year.

EDIT: Double OT and Staudamire has fouled out already. Phoenix's depth was my big worry about them as the really only use a seven-man rotation so if somebody gets hurt or is in foul trouble, they're in trouble. Also, Shaq has 5 fouls as does Diaw.

Great move by Nash/D'Antoni to get a quick shot off before they could be fouled. Unfortunately for them, Manu topped it.

Great great game.

because the NBA wants every playoff game of every team on TV, while the NHL just has most on regional FSN stations

I take it Phoenix didn't watch the national title game either. Two times they could have fouled and stopped game tying threes. Two times they didn't. Two times the Spurs made threes. It really isn't rocket science. You give the foul.

They blew so many opportunities to win the game in regulation and the first OT. Sheesh.

ah, this is more like the mavs I know. good riddance.

I don't mind the Mavs at all, but I hope they make a quick exit here. There have been rumblings about Avery Johnson possibly losing his job if Dallas doesn't do anything in the playoffs.

He'd be the perfect coach for the Bulls, IMO.

While Johnson may in fact be the right guy for the Bulls, it won't matter unless the Bulls overhaul that roster.

The Houston Rockets stink.

I don't get to see them very often, but why doesn't Luther Head get more time for them?

Veteran bias with Bonzi Wells and Bobby Jackson (before the trade), for one. Houston also seems to use him mostly as a backup for McGrady, who obviously doesn't sit much.

That's too bad, his shooting could really help them.

I'd prefer Mark Jackson for the Bulls (although he's probably headed to NY). Avery would be intriguing, though.
