I was at this game too. I have my own video that's pretty funny (drunk). If I remember correctly, this was Clemens (going for 300) versus Wood (going for 50). Clemens went for 300 the week before against the Tigers when I was there, and lost. I was almost tempted to follow him the rest of his career since I appeared to be bad luck for him.

Awesome vid - great memory. Thanks for posting that AF. I can't believe that was almost five years ago either. I was in the RF bleachers - easily one of the most memorable games I've ever been to.

jerks

p.s. and you guys say i'm living in the past? what about this guy. :glare:

Instead they should just put a video of Bud Selig screaming "How dare you promote my sport?!?!?! I will crush any further attempt to show people how exciting baseball can be without express written consent - which I will never give!!!! Bwahaha, bwahaha".

Yea, I can't imagine why Selig/MLB won't allow highlights on YouTube. As a MMA fan, it's kind of like DSE/Pride vs Zuffa/UFC. Before Zuffa bought out Pride, you could go and watch any fight that had ever happened in Pride and they garnered a huge amount of popularity from it. It's mind boggling to me why these huge companies won't allow just simple clips and highlights. Simple answer to this though, is people need to start uploading to other sites likes Dailymotion. I've been wanting to see the Kerry Wood 20 k h/l for a while now, and can't find it, even though I was able to watch it 1 year ago. F Selig.

Simply ridiculous that's 5 years ago already.

Welcome to my world.

At times, I still have thoughts that 1984 and 1989 were just a few years ago.

Same thing for '98.

It's really stupid when they claim copyright on something that I can't even purchase in the first place from them. It feels like they are trying to destroy a little bit of history when they do something like that. I know baseball is a business and they have a right to protect there product but it still doesn't seem right to me.

This video doesn't even exist in the MLB.com archives anymore, so how can they remove it???

Ugh... anyways here it is on putfile:

That was great. Thanks. Anyone remember when they took Wood out of that game, and Guthrie - I'm convinced he and Veres could have combined to make one memorably mediocre ambidextrous relief pitcher - got Giambi to K? They showed Wood leaning over the dugout rail, and he spiked his water bottle when Guthrie rung up Giambia and just screamed in excitement. That. Was. Awesome. I miss Kerry Wood as a starter.

Yeah, it was Remlinger though. Both the K and Wood's reaction are in this video.

I don't remember Wood ever showing that much emotion. Look who he high fives first...... Mark Prior. That depresses me.
