What's going on with the Forums?

Yeah, pretty much. Talk about the Cubs goes in "Cubs discussion". Talk about other teams goes in "Discussion about Lesser Teams".

 

I may rename that forum after I'm done with taxes, though. :D

I want to know which Mod gets the job of moving all the non-Cub threads from the Cubs forum into the Lesser Teams forum. My vote is for Raisin since he seems to find plenty of time to post 20,000 more posts than anyone else.

My wife's hospital sold to another group. The hospital was formerly community owned and they allowed vacation to accrue from year to year if one did not take it. When it sold, the employees were allowed to take a payout of unused vacation hours because the new company would not allow vacation hours to carry over if they were unused from year to year. As a result, we got a very large check before the take-over became final. I don't think we had enough money taken out of that.

Oh...I see. That would makes sense then. I tell people who owe that you have to pay the taxes at some point...whether it's through your paychecks or at tax time. You're still paying the same...it just sometimes sucks if you're not expecting to pay in a large amount. You should have had another baby last year! That would have off-set the extra tax dollars I bet! :D

We're not paying a large amount. We've just gotten money back every year over the last four. Hopefully, we'll be back near even next year.

I really think it would make sense to just have a "baseball discussion" forum. With a forum for polls, a forum for the minors, one for the draft, one for transactions, one subforum for all the general baseball talk - cubs related or not - is enough to hold all the relevant discussion.
