Division Foes Doing Things

San Francisco Giants at Milwaukee Brewers 1:00

Sanchez (1-5, 5.88 in 2007) at Villanueva (8-5, 3.94 in 2007)

Philadelphia Phillies at Dusty Baker's Reds 6:00

Kendrick (10-4, 3.87 in 2007) at Fogg (10-9, 4.94 in 2007)

Pittsburgh Pirates at Florida Marlins 6:00

Morris (7-7, 4.35 in 2007) at Olsen (10-15, 5.81 in 2007)

Washington Nationals at St. Louis Cardinals 7:00

Perez (0-0, 1.80) at Looper (12-12, 4.94 in 2007)

And, uh, I was being totally sarcastic yesterday about Cueto. Honest. Once again, I'd like to remind everyone to check out the free preview of MLBEI! Tonight Hiroki Kuroda makes his Major League debut for the Dodgers, who are facing the San Diego Padres. Also, we get our first Mets/Braves series of the year, in what I think will be one of the better divisional races, and in the American League the Detroit Tigers will finally score the runs we expect, and more importantly get their first win of the year!

Steve Stone on the White Sox broadcast just described Jacque Jones as " one of the reasons if not THE reason the Cubs reached the post season"......

Well, he's right, if we didn't have Jones in either RF or CF, there would be no one there to catch the flyballs. I mean, Soriano's fast, but he's not that fast.

I guess they could have put that Cliff Floyd guy in there. Or Matt Murton even.

C'mon Tigers, cut this crap out. The last thing we need is the White Sox gaining momentum early in the season. Every time the Sox go on a run, I start to have flashbacks to 2005 when they inexplicably started winning and never stopped.

The Giants are attempting a rally. I'm sure the Brewers are shaking in their cletes.

Would the Giants version of a rally be, "And the Giants player X has worked the count to 3 balls and 1 strike"? Wouldn't that be the Giants rally?

The Rays just put a 6 spot on the Yankees and lead 13-4. The pitchers for the Yankees were LaTroy Hawkins and Kyle Farnsworth.

It was a surplus of straight FBs. Farnsy topped out at 94.

Money obviously doesn't buy pitching.

Cardinals up 5-1 in the 5th. Yuck.
