This summer will be my first time at Wrigley. I bought the best tickets I could to an august game againt St. Louis. All I could get was sec. 204 row 20. I was just wondering if anyone has sat in this section and can tell me what to expect.

Hate to be a downer, but if you're in row 20 there may be a possible pole obstruction as the pole is located in the first couple rows of that section. You should be fine, however.

You're gonna be really close to the first pole that holds up the upper deck on that side.

The first couple of poles on each side are way further back than row 6.

Yes, you are correct - completely forgot about that.

You might have some problems with a pole, depending on where you sit. But I tell yah what, I'll actually be in that section this saturday because that's where employee's meet pre-game for the pre-game meeting - and we have to be there for our training this saturday. I'll take a peek at how close the pole is to that row if no one on here can answer it before then.

Where the ushers are standing closest to the camera... those poles going across = the start of that section.

the person taking that picture appears to be in about row 10. so you should be about ten rows further back than he/she is. If you see the person in the white shirt in the little walkway there, that's the walkway that separates section 104 from section 204. so 204 starts on the back side of that walkway.

thank you very much

also one more question

If you look straight across in the picture, on the first base side, are any of the 3 darker blue sections compareable to 204?

going to the cardinals game sunday, cant wait

in that picture on the 1b side you can see three levels. a dark blue right by the field, a light blue, then a dark blue above that

the lowest level is th single/double digit section

the next level up (light blue) is the 100 level

The next above that is the 200 level - that would be comprable to where you're sitting.

It should be noted, however, that all t seats are green now. That's an old picture.

There's a blog that has a good list of obstructed Wrigley seats:

http://chiblogo.wordpress.com/2008/05/05/bad-seats-in-the-house/

Maybe we should create something, too. It might be a nice resource. I'm sure a lot of people have some comments.

For example, I'd say avoid the first two or three rows of Terrace Box seats like the plague and probably the first row of the 500 level, as well. Row 9 in the 500 level is where it's at since you have a great view behind you on the first base side and you can stand up whenever you want.
