Brent Musburger to do PBP opening day on ESPN

I have no idea if Musberger is biased towards Ohio State. If he is though, that is serious because he is on a national network that is the home of NCAA football, so he shouldn't be biased to any particular team while calling a game.

The thing with Musburger is that I don't necessarily think he's biased toward Ohio State, he seems to want to ride the coat tails of whichever team is doing good. He gushes about one team over the other if they jump out to an early lead, but he'll jump back on the wagon of that losing team if they mount a comeback. It's one thing to point out the things a team is doing well, but to continually rehash them is obnoxious.

Musberger is in my top 3 along with Pat Hughes and of course GUS JOHNSON

 

I do not get the Gus Johnson love. Not that I think he's bad, he's fine actually. But the love is ridiculous. I don't need the announcer to be the most excited person in the stadium.

When Gamble was at OSU he did everything but update the viewer to what flavor Gatorade Gamble was drinking. Another example was his bizarre infatuation with Steve Breaston.

 

That's exactly what Billy Packer does, too. He is my least favorite of the regular announcers in any sport.

i've never seen someone fawn over mike hart like brent musberger did. the guy averaged about 3.5 yards per carry against psu this year, and you'd think he was walking on water. that being said, he's a pretty good announcer IMO, but he does get caught up on slurping certain players.

Horrible example. Len and Bob are paid to broadcast Cubs games, and only Cubs games. They should be biased.

I like Mussberger and Herbstreit. He's not bias against my school, but then again, he never does LSU games. We always get Vern Lunquist on CBS (also known as the SEC Network), who is pretty freakin' good I think. I do hate Bama, but it is fun hearing Kenny Stabler on the radio.
