who is meddenhall?

I'm saying seeing as I live in the SEC (Alabama),

oh, i understand now.

w/e

All I am SAYING...understand is that I saw Felix Jones alot, and he is IMO, the 2nd best back in the draft. Not to mention he is an electrifying return, in the mold of a Devin Hester. Not saying, he will have a start to his career like Hester, but he is simply electric with the ball in his hands. So IMO, Jones is better the Meddenhall.

They do air Arkansas games outside of SEC country.

I missed the news that the Redskins cut Lloyd. I dont know what happened to him in Washington but i liked what he did in San Fran. I like this move.

He fell off the face of the planet with the Redskins and hasn't scored a TD since his days with the 49ers.

I think, at best, he'll turn out to be a passable #2 WR. I don't think it's likely, but there's a possibility.

Then people outside of the SEC should feel honoured to be watching to BEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL CONFERENCE in the nation. And if anybody still thinks RB from Illinois is better then Jones, then.......I must be loopy.

It wouldn't surprise me....if Jones gets taken in front of the RB from Illinois.

his name is Rashard Mendenhall, but don't worry, you'll remember it soon enough

You must be loopy. Felix Jones is the fourth best running back on most draft boards. I'd easily take Felix's teammate, along with Stewart and Mendenhall.

But man, what a great honour it is to watch the SEC. It's such a privilege.

You might want to open the door a little bit to football outside of the SEC conference once in a blue moon. It's just plain silly to put Jones ahead of Mendenhall. Mendenhall may not even be available by the time the Bears pick at 14. His stock continues to rise.

Mendenhall is probably the only guy I wouldn't get pissed off about the Bears drafting rather than picking an offensive lineman. But, like I said before, I'm not sure he'll still be available at 14.

Seattle signed Julius Jones to a 4 year deal. The same team that signed TJ Duckett. John Clayton says this means that Shaun Alexander will be released, likely in the next week or two, because if he's traded it costs Seattle an extra $150k.

I know he's getting older, and hasn't been as productive the last couple of years, but would he be worth taking a risk on?

felix jones is inferior to mendenhall. give me a break. Mendenhall is bigger stronger and faster. Just because he isn't from the SEC doesn't mean hes not as good.

W/e, I only go by what I see. And I never said Meddenhall wasn't any good, nor did I say he needed to be in the SEC (although it helps dramatically over playing in the questionable Big Ten), all I said was Felix Jones is a better RB, then Meddenhall, plan and simple. And had it not been for Darren McFadden, Felix Jones would clearly be taken ahead of Meddenhall.

Beisdes....who wants to draft a Big Ten RB, we all know Big 10 RBs, are like Florida Gator WRs, you just don't trust a high pick with them.

LOL Hey guys I haven't seen Kobe Bryant but I'm pretty sure Chris Paul is better because I've seen him play a lot and he's awesome.

I'm still torn on the whole RB at #14 thought. I know the Bears need OL help, but they need it at 2 spots. I've heard Williams name, but from what I've heard experts don't think he can play LT right away and may need a year at RT?!?!? I don't know if this is the consensus or not.

If the Bears can't get an OL that can step in and be a bona fide starting T then I'd much rather them take Mendenhall if he's available.

Also, I've been hearing a lot of talk about the Bears interest in either Flacco/Brahm. From what I've heard Flacco has moved up in the mid 2nd. You don't think the Bears would possibly go RB in the 1st and QB in the 2nd do you? I know this draft is suppose to be deep at OL, but really.................

and, for the record, stats don't mean much to scouts. ronnie brown was cadillac williams's backup at auburn and still got picked before him. mel kiper apparently has referred to jones as potentially a very nice complimentary back to share carries with a featured guy.

i'd rather not take shard, not so soon after taking benson and paying him a ton of cash. i'd rather not even keep the 14th pick. i'd either like to trade up and try to get long, or trade down and go o-line. so, either way, i want a left tackle.

That wasn't a surprise come draft day though. The reports on most boards had Ronnie Brown ahead of Cadillac because he was just as talented and had taken less of a pounding in college. He also nearly rushed for 1000 yards while splitting carries with Cadillac.

I don't think anyone is saying that Jones doesn't have talent. I just think Mendenhall has more tools to be a 3 down back in the NFL for a long time.

I understand the concerns with Benson, but I'm not certain Benson can produce even with a good OL. My other concern is that the Bears need 2 OL. They need a guard and tackle. If it's going to take them 2 years to effectively fill those 2 positions then I'd rather they just take Mendenhall if he's available at #14. At least then you know you have the RB you need when you finally get the line figured out.

Why pass up Mendenhall and still not be able to fix the OL problems?
