Bedard and Roberts to the Cubs back on?

It's not the most reliable source (to say the absolute least), but it's worth discussing considering we're in the dog days of the offseason. Given that disclaimer, don't shoot the messenger.

GREAT news, fellas. I shoutboxed this earlier, but I SERIOUSLY doubt you'll mind me puttin' it here, TOO. If you're ready for the Bedard stuff to be over, then you are in LUCK. The Orioles are dragging their feet and bringing up medical questions for Jones because JIM HENDRY and the cubs relented and will give up Pie. No, I don't mean Hendry is giving up those round pastry baked good. I mean THE PLAYER, of course. The package will be just like WE reported WEEKS ago, i.e. a BIG one. Also, it should be completed by this weekend. SSM asked "the source" if going fringe public with this would hurt the deal and "the source" said that it wouldn't. This IS happening. Hendry clearly seems to have a hard-on for Roberts. Maybe Piniella really wants a fast guy who can hit lefty and get on base.
