nice to see kansas playing like kansas

 

 

now the problem is everyone will think that missouri is good after this game.....and then see them get knocked off by OU setting up the inevitable Ohio State/WVU matchup......which are probably teams #8 and #9 in reality.

 

 

this year sucks

People have known that Mizzou is a solid team before tonight.

Solid, for sure. But top 5? Not so much.

 

But I think the winner of this game will lose to OU, and set up the WVU-OSU matchup.

 

Unlike Meph, I think that at least WVU deserves it.

Personally, I think this year has been great.

 

Best year in college football history in terms of the whole season every single week. Though I do agree the NC setup has a lot of potential to disappoint. Mizzou needs to win the Big 12 assuming they win tonight.

 

If West Virgina makes it, I think they will win it all.

i'm pretty impressed by Missouri so far. i had no idea that they ran such a spread offense. A matchup with WVU in the NC game would be like 68-67 at the half

We can defend the pass. AN we're usually a good tackling team, but the pressure has been a concern all year.

 

I think part of the porous secondary play tonight is a result of ZERO pressure on Daniel. But they are also seemingly constantly out of position in coverage and their inability to tackle in the open field is only making that weakness more glaring. The defense has been terrible all night.

Consider me pretty unimpressed with Kansas today. They don't look like a BCS team.

I was with you until the USC part. That team has no business being number 1.

 

And while Kansas has played nobody up until this point. I would still have them inside of #15. Clearly they are not a top 10 team, though.

no one cares about florida, they lost to two mediocre teams, they are not even close to top six or seven. besides, this is a thread about mizzou and kansas.

 

anyway, if kansas hadnt choked in the red zone so bad early this would be a very good game right now

If I was Mangino here, I'd go for a surprise onside kick. With Mizzou's efficiency tonight, a whole field drive could kill 6-7 minutes and likely end in points which would make it an insurmountable three score game. Kansas has shown no ability to either stop Mizzou or to force any sort of turnover.

 

That's gotta be the call Mangino makes, right?

Yeah, if we hit those FGs would be an 8 point game, but Mizzou clearly appears to be the better team regardless. We appear to be a top 10-15 team at best.

Exactly. This game has been MUCH closer than the score has indicated. Too bad KU doesn't have a kicker. It would be a one possession game right now.
