This Seattle beat writer better be right.

 

Dude, do you have any idea how close Seattle is to Japan? They practically share a border....He definitely knows.

 

That's what I thought too: he must be close enough to hear them whispering.

Give that Seattle has had its share of Japanese players and I believe Kosuke's agent is based in Seattle, maybe this guy has come up on a reliable source in some way already. Or he's just rehashing what everyone else has already said.

It would be wonderful if he just happpened to know Fukudome San's agent. I'm all ready to change the text on my signature!

Rotoworld has some new stuff...

 

New York Newsday reports that Kosuke Fukudome "has narrowed his choices to the Royals and Cubs."

Take the report with a grain of salt, because the Royals previously indicated that they weren't interested in Fukudome and the Padres reportedly offered him a three-year deal worth $10 million per season Tuesday. The one thing that seems certain is that the Cubs have remained heavily interested in Fukudome from Day 1.

 

What an odd pair of teams to narrow it down to, if true.

after the crappy turn my life has taken recently, signing fuku, do me, will definitely put a rather large smile on my face...

 

another huge smile i am waiting for is the trading of dempster...i might explode with joy if marquis somehow vanishes as well
