Worth all that money?

Certainly not (but not how many pitchers would be at that contract and posting money?). I think he'll have a much better second season though and will end up being worth the contract on its own.

I swear to God, they should sterilize every idiot who thinks it's fun to wave at the camera while on their cellphone.

Ortiz is pretty good.

Just curious. EJ, why are you rooting for the Red Sox?

I've been a Red Sox fan almost as long as I've been a Cub fan. Always felt like they had a lot in common.

Notice I said had, not have. They're polar opposites today. They actually know how to hit.

Every Red Sox fan I've met can't stand the Cubs. To hell with them.

Boy, that 2/3 from 2005 must really sting. FWIW, I hate the Red Sox as well. I get depressed every time I see Fenway.

Screw Boston.

Patriots are indestructable this season and have 3 Super Bowls in the decade, Celtics have Ray Allen and KG now (and the Celtics a great history) and the Red Sox have 1 WS already this decade and are perrenial playoff contenders.

And their fans are annoying as hell.

my parents just came back from Cape Cod and they said it was just over run with Patriots/Red Sox stuff. Thing is, those teams are all they have in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine.....

Gosh, Grady Sizemore is so dreamy.

Way more than Theriot.

Tim Wakefield is on, now can everyone shut up about starting Beckett tonight. Everyone assumed that they would lose if they pitched Wake (which they surely still can), but no one talked about how much of a boost it would be if Wake won (against their 4th starter) and they had Josh Beckett pitch on full rest in game 4 with the series tied at 2

I hate these announcers.

Did McGraw really need to explain in detail the difference between Byrd's windup and other pitchers'?

The Red Sox offense has been Manny, Papi, and Lowell. The rest of the bums have looked absolutely terrible.
