Time to switch to the LSU game, at least they'll be entertaining and have a good chance of winning. I'm just going to keep up with the Cubs here.

At least you've got that. I've got Notre Dame on espn360 onwards another loss. What a year. The hat trick comes tomorrow at Lambeau Field.

We're getting swept.

Keep swinging at balls and putting them weakly into play.

And we can't even blame Dusty Baker for the poor plate discipline. :P

At least our players are "toolsy". Thanks Jim Hendry.

i dont think its possible to hate the dbacks anymore. i wish their franchise nothing but the worst

Agreed. Know this Arizona fans: You won because the Cubs laid down for you, not because you are better.

Really? I don't know how you can say that if Arizona wins the series. They won 4 of six from us during the regular season. Seems to me they are better than the Cubs.

Absolutely. It's just sour grapes to say they're not better. Clearly the D'Backs are the superior team.

No, they're not. There's a reason everyone wondered how they got in.

The sad thing is that I saw this coming.

Well, I do like ND and the Bears are my favorite NFL team, so I'm not in a much better position than you. And the way that UF is running so far, it could be a long game.

this series seems to encompass everything that was horrible about this season.

pen blowing a wonderfully pitched game by the starter

starter inexplicably crapping the bed

loads of base runners no runs

Here's my beef...

I can palate losing to Webb. He's one of the five best pitchers in the NL and is a legit ace. If you lose to him, it's most likely because he's good rather than your team being bad.

But losing to Doug [expletive] Davis? Losing to Livan Hernandez whose arsenal consists of meatballs and gopherballs? Both pitched like crap against the Cubs...but again and again, they gave the Cubs enough rope to hang themselves with. This was a piss-poor showing from an offense we all thought showed some signs of living up to its potential.

The offense played HORRIBLY in this series. Heads need to roll for this showing; it's sickening.

Yeah, because no one watched them. I can't take you seriously if you've watched this series and still don't think they're better than the Cubs.

Take strikes and swing at balls. That's our motto.

On paper the Cubs are the superior team. The D-backs this year have been the superior team on the field. I'm angry and frustrated too, but if they win tonight they would've beaten us seven out of nine. That says superiority to me.

The Cubs are getting dominated. They haven't even made it interesting all series.

Man, it's hard to say you're getting dominated when you have left so many runners on base.

It would actually be far easier to stomach if the DBacks has just closed us down. To have so many opportunities wasted is just disgusting.

How many baserunners have the Cubs stranded this series? It has to be over 30 now.
