Does anyone have the stats on teams going 0-2 to win a five game series? Probably not good and with Webb in Game 5 if we get there, this is not going to end well.

I don't have the overall stats, but I know one team who in 1984 came back to win a five game series after being down 0-2.

I also remember a team that was left for dead in '03 that needed to win three games in a row and they did it. Maybe the getting ahead in series thing has not worked out so well for the Cubs so they are going to try doing it the other way. What's the point in not pulling for them until they are eliminated? Everyone thought the two games in Chicago were favorable match ups. They turn it around at home and win those two and then it is 1 game back in AZ that can go either way. If they wind up losing in Chicago, at least you can say you supported your team to the end. Seems a lot better than bailing when they were down two games.

Ah yes, sadly the Cubs can't play against themselves

But they can play WITH themselves.

Well at least my first born due in February will come into the world on the 100 year anniversary. Kind of cool, huh?

I still wish I had tickets for Gm. 3. I've lost so much for so long my optimism is on automated numb pilot. I just can't release it. It's almost like it's dementia.

My first born was born on the day White Sox won the World Series :( :)

Completely agree, but this series has been disheartening.

That would be considered child abuse if we did, right?

Both teams would lose.

It'd be interesting to see if they walked.

I would assume so.

My 20 month old sings Go Cubs Go when she sees the games on TV. I am a sick bastage to do it to her.

I can't even express how happy I am to have dropped a bunch of money to fly to Chicago. Next time the Cubs make the playoffs I'll just burn some money instead.

hey chicago is a nice city... enjoy the vacation and the city, don't let the cubs ruin it for you.

Go shopping before sales tax goes to 11%

Don't shop in Cchicago. Aside from my wife's wedding dress, I can't think of the last time someone in my family bought something there. They're stuck in the 17th century mindset.

Things on my mind:

-Maybe having Lilly throw on Sunday was not such a great idea

-There was a thread where someone asked who the Cub killer of the series is going to be. I said Stephen Drew. Point for me

-You guys think Z's arm will be in good shape to start the season opener next March? Afterall, he did only throw 85 pitches yesterday.

After this game they might be less expensive.
