I'm not much for signs, (I especially hate the "This year is the year" and "We Believe" signs) but I think this idea might be kinda cool.

Blow up a pic of whoever had the goggles in the celebration, with a tag line that says "More goggles please!"

Actually that would be an awesome idea. It was Jones that was wearing the goggles. If I were motivated enough, it would awesome to buy like 100 pairs of green goggles and hand them out to fans sitting near CF in the bleachers. I would be a nice sign to Jacque that fans have accepted him.

Well you could go with "Hell has froze over"

On cubs.com in 2003 I suggested:

"If you think this is cold, you should try Hell."

Unfortunately it won't be cold at all during this first series, and really it would be better for a later series anyway. So... keep that in mind should we still be playing in a couple weeks.

As far as I know nobody used that back then.

Offtopic, but I think jacque certainly knows the fans have accepted him. The last couple games I was at he was playing center and they were having a great time with him; being very friendly.

Hell, even I like the guy. Regardless of how sucky he can be, he always looks so damn happy, like he's having so much fun.

The Soto thing needs to happen. Dozens of them scattered throughout the stadium that simply say "Geovany Soto".

It would almost be funnier to have like 25 people all sitting by each other holding them up. Any group of people can spell out a player's name with 1 letter apiece. It takes true greatness for each fan to hold up your full name.

Would it be worth it for those of us who are going to the games on saturday and sunday to just hang out outside to make Soto signs? or maybe just take white t shirts and write "Geovany Soto." on the front?

We could get together and pool out money together and buy 300 blue T-shirts. Then in black marker on the back we write "SOTO - 58" as if it were a jersey shirt. Then hand them out to fans entering the ballpark

We could, but I don't want to sit at home and write SOTO 58 for three hours.

Plus I'm dead broke. If you guys want to do it, however...

I'm sure if the Soto signs were actually coordinated, that would happen to be a game in which Lou decides to start Kendall. :(

After that HR, you have to do the 20 Soto signs.
