horrific move by lou....who sacrifices game 1 in order to "save z for game 4"....wow....amazing. no one's fault by lou. the guy has 8 K's with minimal pitchcount and he gets yanked for a miserable bullpen.

horrific.

Miserable bullpen? Seriously?

Before we jump to conclusions about stupid decisions and such, let's find out if Zambrano suffered from cramps again. Lou talked before the game of letting him go 100-110 pitches.

If that's the case he obviously had no choice. Otherwise, it was a poor decision.

Z wouldn't have done that.

Way to pitch for game 4, Lou.

So you can see the future too? Well that's swell.

Youre being unreasonable. Z was pitching great. If he gave up the home run, fine that sucks. But he had 85 damn pitches. It was a terrible decision to take him out regardless of what Marmol did.

I'm being unreasonable? Not exactly.

If Marmol comes in and goes 1-2-3, nobody says anything.

If Lou leaves Z in and he gives up runs, people would be complaining that Z should have been removed just like they're complaining that he was removed.

MarMOLE is looking like ass tonight.

And now my prediction for Ojeda to do something we won't be able to recover from is now perfectly positioned to do just that.

And THAT is why you don't pull Z.

Brilliance.

So you can see the future and GUARANTEE ME that Z wouldn't have given up any runs that inning? Interesting.

if he did no one would have been saying "stupid lou, you should have taken z out when he was cruising!"

No, but if Lou leaves Z in and he gets 100+ pitches and then melts down in Game 4, then people would have ripped into Lou and would call him Dusty for leaving Z in for too long in Game 1.

right, it's exactly the same as leaving prior in with a gigantic lead in 2003. You cracked the code. Congratulations.

That's not seeing the future, technically. But yes, I can't guarantee Z wouldn't struggle. But not a good decision to go to the pen when Z could have handled another dozen pitches w/ limited negative effect.

Not a fan of playing for a future game that might not exist when this game is for the winning. Especially when Marquis is on the roster.

Marquis isn't even starting a game, what does that have to do with it?

I would like to get out of this inning w/o another run please....Carlos is a bit excited...we need him to settle down and be good and not give up another god damn run.
