Oh well. Didn't expect to beat Webb tonight anyway.

Game over.

Thanks, Lou.

Hows this Lou's fault? The offense could not score to save their life.

Loss isn't all on Lou for pulling Z, but he shares blame with Marmol and the offense.

Season over. We're not winning three in a row.

Don't have to.

84 pitches for your star pitcher in a tie game? Lou had a big part in this mess.

well there goes that. hopefully we leave town with a split

We have to. Lilly is good after a Cubs loss...someone said 9-1.

And Z only threw 85 pitches...he should be fine on Sunday...assuming there is a Sunday.

This sucks.

Do you completely forget the 03 NLCS?

Exactly, 2 or 3 STRAIGHT innings when the lead off hitter was on 2nd, NO OUTS, and no runs scored in those situations... maybe the 1 run scored off the bases loaded situation started off the last in that series of "leadoff man in SP, no outs" innings.

If Dusty was still manager this game would still be going on.

If Dusty is our manager we don't make the playoffs. He is worth 4 losses a year.

Thanks, Lou.

Hows this Lou's fault? The offense could not score to save their life.

Lou takes out Z who was cruising after 85 pitches. Dbacks score two runs off the reliever, who, yes, was our best one, but still takes the loss.

Does nobody see the stupidity in taking out your pitcher when he's dominating and thrown well less than 100 pitches, saving him for a game that may not even be played?? Anyone??

But come on... Did you really expect Marmol to give up anything? It's really easy to second guess.

The biggest mistake he made was not bunting with Z with the runner on 2B and no outs.

Meh. Had to figure this was going to be the toughest matchup for us. We've got the better starting pitchers the next 3 games. Gotta take advantage.

Hopefully our luck will change next game. Way too many hard-hit balls right at people.

Loss goes on Marmol, but an honorable mention to Piniella. No one's going to be able to convince me otherwise on how pulling him after just throwing 85 pitches was a good move.
