The 2007 Mets remind me of the 2004 Cubs in so many ways. Coming off a heartbreaking NLCS loss, seemingly safe lead going into the stretch, Moises Alou; the list goes on and on.

The Mets are up 5-0 after 3. If they blow this lead it would be a perfect ending. They are only 1 game down so this also might be a nice little turnaround...if the Phillies ever lose again.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Mets win the East. Don't the Phillies usually come on strong at the end but don't pull it out? Though in 2005 they did all they could the stupid Cubs just couldn't beat the Astros.

Ditto. Although I am not to thrilled about having to face Webb or Owings. If the Cubs could win game win I could see a sweep. If they lose I could see it going 5 games.

I've been watching the HBO special on the Cubs and their miserable-ness over the years. I always cringe when they show a clip of the Mets fans chanting "Good bye Leo, we hate to see you go." How I would have loved to have been in the stands starting that chant up in mockery today.

Doesn't seem like ex Cub players are like are like an alum the way they continue to always be ex Cubs? I wonder if other players from teams feel this strongly about their former team?
