I think Hall is healthy, his playing time has just steadily decreased the whole second half. Now he plays pretty much exclusively against lefties.

I found this very interesting...and depressing.

Rafael Soriano has been suspended by MLB for 4 games (the exact length of the Brewer series) for hitting Dan Uggla.

Soriano is probably the Braves' best reliever and has a 136 ERA+ this year. He also has 64 Ks to only 15 BBs.

Can't find a link, but I saw it on ESPN's bottom line.

He could Appeal right?

He came in late last night to play CF. If he got an AB, he got out.

Will Soriano appeal that though, or does he have to serve it immediately? I saw the Braves are getting Dotel back, but I am not sure if that helps or hurts them at this point.

I'd say so. Not sure if he will though. With our luck on stuff like this, not likely.

Getting Dotel back helps, but Soriano is worlds better than Octavio.

Why wouldn't they?

Gotta assume he's going to appeal. The Braves are still playing for a chance at the playoffs. They don't really have much of a chance, but they're still mathematically in it.

Actually, with them still being in the race, I'd bet they will. I feel dumb - it just dawned on me they're in the race (somewhat at least).

So, yeah, they should appeal.

Not sure how appeals processes work at the end of the year like this. They push this back just a few days, he may not have any games to sit out.

Or perhaps the beginning of next year?

Not a bad start to the game for this Bennett character. Strikes out the side with a few singles in between. I doubt hes going to shut down the Brewers offense the whole game, but I doubt Suppan will shut down the Braves.

One thing you have to give Bobby Cox and the Braves, no matter where they are in the standings, they aint laying down for anyone.
