just rewatched the 9th on MLB.TV. Holy crap that place was loud! I got chills with Len and Bob's call on Aramis's HR.

man he hit a home run now? awesome.

I don't know where the Cubs would be without those five homeruns Ramirez hit in the bottom of the ninth. NORAD has the third one re-entering the atmosphere within the last five minutes. I still can't believe his 61 RBIs tonight.

Too bad he doesn't hustle.

HOLY FREAKIN CRAP.

That was by far the most amazing game I have EVER seen live. The atmosphere, right from the start of the game, was incredible. I was standing out-side the right field peep-hole for the first 5.5 innings, but sometime in the middle of the sixth some woman and her friend who were apparently leaving the game gave me and some guy next to me free bleacher tickets.

And holy crap, the finish to that game was AMAZING. The most incredible finish ever. The best part was...i think it was ramirez, throwing his batting helmet about a mile in the sky.

The place went INSANE. I was in left/leftcenter field about 20 rows up. The people around me...me...everyone; I'm so pumped right now it's most likely not healthy!

It was Jaqcue throwing the helmet. He took his and DeRosa's helmet and just hurled them in the aird. It was great.

And I agree, what an amazing atmosphere in the 9th. Best game I've been to probably ever. Definitely glad I decided to go. After I saw that ball get away from Hopper on Ramirez's line drive, I went absolutely nuts. I have no voice right now.

My voice is extremely hoarse at this point. When I got home my roommate asked me "how was the game" and I couldnt make the word "incredible" all the way audible.

And yeah, as soon as I saw that ball get by hopper i was jumping around like an idiot screaming "I DONT BELIEVE IT" at the top of my lungs.

The amount of soap I dropped tonight was incredible.

Thats it, I'm moving to Chicago.

I made that decision when a certain 19 year old Texas right hander struck out 20 Astros one early May day. many great memories from that summer/fall. I attended the Sosa 3 HR game against the Brewers and Game 163, and several other very good games.

in retrospect, I gave too much weight to a rather trivial pursuit and it tipped the scales into making a bad decision. should have stayed where I was.

just go to mlb.com, click mlb.tv then the "listen" tab, and go forward to around 3:25 into the recording

Guys don't worry about the protest, earlier this year an umpire added a run to a Indians-Orioles game 3 innings after the run had been scored. That protest had a lot of backing and it wasn't overturned. There is no way this will be overturned.

But wouldn't it fit ever so perfectly into our curse story?

If those videos didn't satisfy your hunger, then open up the linescore on the right, and click on the bottom half of the inning. I'm not an mlb.tv subscriber, but the archived games have worked for me with some regularity, and I am now watching the bottom of the ninth in its entirety.

It's not working for me. Every time I try to listen it asks for my username and password for mlb audio.

I ahd to go over to Brewerfan.net just to see what the reaction was over there, and the Cubs game thread was almost as long (6 pages) as the Brewers game thread (7 pages). They're a good community over there and it was an enjoyable lurk, especially when they were all pumped about the 6-4 lead and I knew what was coming.

Definitely can't get enough of this game. 6-29 and 9-17 are two dates I'll have etched into my head after this season. Holy crap. I still haven't calmed down. I planned on being asleep for over an hour by now.
