Can the Cubs please develop a comfortable enough lead that the last week of the season won't really matter? It'd be a welcome reprieve.

Did you not just see how this game ended? The Cubs are not going to make anything easy on us

Mike (who's he) Rviera with a 2 run homer for the Brewers in the bottom of the 9th...... now 6-5 Reds.

Who the eff is that?

Well... outside of the fact that I misspelled his last name..... with is Rivera... he's a backup catcher.

I didn't, actually. I'm on a self-imposed fast from watching Cubs games until Monday, which started after that disgusting extra innings loss to Houston.

But hey...I can dream, can't I? :D

I remember him... he hit a lot of homers in the minors one year while in the Tigers' minor league system, but BA considered it flukish because the ballpark he was hitting in was perfectly suited to his stroke. Considering that it's about 5 years later and nobody knows who he is, I guess BA was right.

They're 3-0 since then. If they haven't lost a game come Monday, I'll go until the next loss.

They do really well when I miss the first pitch. It's even better if I sleep past it.

Wow, I just got done watching the tape of the game.

That was really exciting and entertaining.

I guess the best we can do now is play spoliers! A sweep was pretty much required.

Here's to an entertaining final three games of the series. 8-)

I sweep would have been ideal for the Cards but 3 out of 4 would be okay as well since that would put them at 3 back. But anything less than winning the final three games of the series all but kills them.
