Fred, I mentioned a while ago that it seems Aramis seems to be drawing a lot more walks lately... any stats to back that up?

Yeah.... it's a reasonable assertion.........

04/02 - 09/03 415 54 131 30 3 19 224 82 35 56 0.316 0.366 0.540 0.906 0.329

(the first 6 increments are 20 games each.... the last is 16 games)

He's drawn four more walks in the last 16 games than he did in any other 20 game stretch. Glad to see I wasn't imagining things!

Check the second increment.

I can usually read, I swear!

Chris Duncan 3 run double, 5-2 Dirtbirds

So of course Encarnacion's career ending injury manages to hurt the Cubs.

Duncan was playing against righties anyways.

Either way, you know more playing time for Ankiel/Donutman will hurt us.

Duncan's brutal against lefties in his major league time, I'm sure Ankiel will be the same. Stop believing in magic.

What hurt the cubs is the strike out that Morris didn't get called for him before the two out three run scoring double. Even the cards announcers mentioned it.

Wow, we're still ahead of the record of the '03 team at this point.

Until we get to the anniversary of the Cardinals series it'll probably stay that way unless we start tanking.

That was a great September, Prior and Wood were fantastic.
