It looked like he centered his midsection on that gap, probably two separate bruises. He got a corner on either side.

That's about the worst strike call I've ever seen. I'll take it, but whoever that ump is should be ashamed. That was 2 feet off the plate outside, in a critical situation in a playoff race.

 

If I was commish, that guy's next game would be in the minors. Terrible.
