CUBS are 8-2 when they allow 3 hits or less.

Go CUBS !!

The saddest thing about this stat is that we LOST 2 games when allowing 3 hits or less.

If the Brewers somehow lose tonight, at the VERY WORST, the farthest out we could be after that "huge" Brewers series would be 3.5 out. The farthest up we could be up is 6.5

Let's go for broke... be 6.5 up on MIL after the game next Thursday and 9 up on StL too!

I heard that Prior was with the team last night, is that true? If so, does anyone know why?

I think he's just meeting with the Cubs staff and they are going to get a quick progress report on how his recovery is going.

Great game and Win, but Wuertz is terrible. What the hell happened to him?

Three year splits:

Pre-ASB: 2.32 ERA 1.06 WHIP

Post-ASB: 5.40 ERA 1.65 WHIP

He sucks in the second half.

Brutal!

Sorry, I actually reversed those. That's what I get for not sleeping.

I guess reality makes less sense.

He also is rehabbing in Arizona.

I think Roast is experiencing his first college hangover.

If I remember my stages of hangover correctly...

11 AM - "Oh God...make the world stop. Please make it stop. I swear, God, if you get me through this, I'll never have another drink again."

1 PM - *Hugs toilet* "Uggggggggh, that burrito tasted just as bad coming up as it did going down. It's going to be a long time before I have another drink."

3 PM - *Lies on futon like it's a deathbed, watching bad TV* "Maybe I'll be able to keep my soup and crackers down this time. I'm not going to drink for another month."

5 PM - *Goes out for a walk and some sunshine* "I'm okay...I'm okay...I'm okay...just remember not to have another drink for a week or two."

7 PM - *Receives phone call from friends who were also out last night* "Yeah, I don't know if I'll go out tonight, I got hammered pretty badly. Maybe we'll do it tomorrow, sound good?"

9 PM - *Calls friends back* "I'm bored. Are you still going out tonight?"

And thus the cycle continues...

I don't know about everyone else, but I very quickly made puking my friend in college. It ether got my clearheaded enough to make it home or even drink more. Just make sure you can step away to do your business (once I started feeling queasy I'd make for the bushes and almost zen-out and just let it happen instead of trying to hold back and feeling worse) and carry plenty of breath mints and puking can be your secret ally!

See, my biggest problem with hangovers is nausea. I might give homage to the porcelain gods before going to bed, but it's no guarantee I'll wake up the next day feeling any better.

My stomach is a finicky thing. :(

I've always made it my goal to get my hands on as much water as possible throughout the night when I drink. Not only does it allow me to drink more, or at least longer, I wake up the next day feeling MUCH better.
