They just as easily could have kept Marshall in and gotten the same result. What a waste of a roster spot.

Taking Marshall out after just 72 pitches was an interesting decision. I would have just let him bat in the top of the inning. And I would have said that before Ward hit into the DP but I didn't realize Ward was pinch hitting.
