Holy crap...if anyone hears a measurement on that, post it!

455 feet

That's it!?

He absolutely annihilated that pitch.

That is what the Reds announcers said. 455 isn't anything to sneeze at.

That's It? 455 feet is an absolute bomb.

Sorry, should have put a winky or something in there to mean it was just in jest, but I'm still in awe... that was definitely "country strong".

Cubs in first place all alone, at least for tonight in this crazy race.

In first place (by a 0.5) after a 6-10 start to the month [and 9-13 in last 22]; swept by HOU and lost 2 of 3 to Cincy...... what the hell, I'll take it anyway we can get it!!!

can't believe the cubs are in first place with a record 3 games over .500... in mid-August

Just be thankful the Brewers are remembering how sucky they truly are and let's hope StL cools off [allowing us to sweep 'em] and stays as so after they leave Chitown.... unless they can help us by beating their opponent.

If it makes you feel better...on 8/17/03 the Cubs were 0.5 games out of first and just 5 games over .500 at 64-59. We are only 1 GB that team (and tied in the loss column).

Just goes to show how consistently bad the NL Central is on a year-to-year basis.
