I just can't understand how Hendry thinks we're better off with no move, and with Soto/Pie down at AAA.

Because he doesn't know what he's doing.

But he's gone out and gotten impact players at the trading deadline when we were in it in 2003, and 2004. It's not like he doesn't have a history of making decent mid-season acquisitions. Maybe it was a sellers market and he wasn't willing to get raped. I hope that's what it was anyway.

he didn't have the ability to add payroll. i really think he's unable to do anything with the current situation.

Then it is twice as foolish to let Pie and Soto waste away in the minors.

Wandy's home ERA 1.76, road 8.16.

That just almost doesn't seem possible given the home park he pitches in.

soto is 2-3

Your anger level will be better if you just accept it now that Soto will never get his chance.

What's Hill's PC up to? He seems to be about as efficient as we've seen him all year. Hopefully the offense wakes up and gets him the deserved W.

86, he could go 8, maybe.

He's at 104 through 7IP. The Astros have the righty Borkowski warming in the 'pen.

aside from the goofy boxes in left, minute maid is one of the most pitcher friendly ballparks in the majors.

yea, I forgot about the whole sale of the Cubs BS and how that's also gonna cost us Zambrano (who had agreed in principle to 5/75 and is probably going to be closer to 5/100 now.

Our offense is full of right-handed hitters facing a crappy lefty with a short porch in left field, and they manage to score once on an RBI groundout thru seven. I love this team.

That's the thing though. He's a lefty and you have to think other teams are stacking the lineup with rightys who are more likely to yank it into the Crawford Boxes.

The sad thing is we all really do.

Ryan fricken Ludwick has hit a HR tonight, and not a single Cub can manage deep fly ball off the soft tossing junk baller.

Not many teams are managing ANYTHING off of him in Houston, but we should ignore that fact in our analysis.

But why? What makes him the best pitcher in baseball at home and the worst on the road?
